Geoff Read Ltd developed the design for this site for the owner with the possibility of the building being broken into multiple spaces which could be leased separately, rather than to one large tenant. Ultimately JJs Ltd came onboard as the tenant and the building was finalised to suit their requirements. Some of the specific features developed for JJs Ltd included - a spare parts area built into the first bay of the workshop, an automatic sliding gate to delineate the public area from the workshop, large doors to the show room to allow access for display machinery, a meeting room and lunchroom. A large canopy has been constructed along the length of the workshop which allows for loading and unloading vehicles out of the weather, over-flow storage and for keeping direct sun-light out of the workshop. It is not uncommon to see the staff enjoying lunch under the shade of the canopy whilst still effectively sitting outside.
